An Invitation

Trash Palace invites you to join us in our commitment to:

  • Environmentally friendly, responsible recycling of electronic waste
  • Zero waste to landfill
  • Promoting on shore recycling in New Zealand
  • An everyday solution
  • Community involvement
  • Employment creation

Be a part of our Success

Providing community services through business initiatives that increase employment opportunities for the people we support and also benefit our environment is a recipe of success for Mana Recovery.

With the partnering and support of our local council, businesses and the community, together we are paving the way to a truly sustainable future.

"Trash Palace's electronic waste recycling operation is a great example of a practical partnership between likeminded organisations which has lead to the re-use of materials both in New Zealand and internationally. It's particularly exciting that this leadership in recycling is happening here in Porirua," Nick Leggett, Mayor of Porirua.

If you have electronic waste, we can tailor make a recycling solution that works for you.

Greenstone Volunteer Day

The Workers. 45 volunteers from Greenstone Energy (formerly Shell Oil) descended on Vailima at 9.00am. They were there to do various tasks as part of their Corporate Volunteer Programme. This was made possible through Volunteer Wellington.

Once the official greeting had been made by Taku Parai, the staff  from Greenstone were then split into 3 groups and the fun work commenced .

  • Group 1. Painting the buildings at Vailima – 2 coats on each. The end result looks really great; especially the doors were the colour choices were left up to the volunteers.
  • Group 2. Garden of Tranquility. This involved putting in a table and seats, erecting parts of an old gazebo amongst the trees and digging out a pathway through the Garden. As well as providing the staff to do this work Bunnings donated a park bench seat which bears a Greenstone Energy plaque. The bench is now located in the Garden of Tranquility.
  • Group 3. Fence of Hope. This is on the left as you drive into Vailima. It use's pickets from a fence that have now all been brightly painted with words of inspiration on them.

Everyone had a really enjoyable day including the staff from Greenstone, Vailima staff and Trainees and others from Mana Recovery.

Thank you Volunteer Wellington, Greenstone Energy
